Vladimir Putin instructs the Government to work out a strategy for the development of Russian seaports in the Caspian Basin
Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a package of instructions following the meeting with the Government held on 12 October 2016, Kremlin says.
The Government is instructed to work out a strategy for the development of Russian seaports in the Caspian Basin and the approaches to them.
“In cooperation with the interested organizations a strategy should be worked out and approved for the development of Russian seaports in the Caspian Basin as well as railway and highway approaches to them with the consideration of the ports’ cargo traffic confirmed by the interested shippers and the analyses of cargo transportation via the ports as compared with the existing transport routes”, says the document.
Deadline for execution of the instructions - 1 March 2017.
