Military seamen of the Russian and Chinese Navy practiced defending ships in course of the “Naval interaction 2016” joint exercise, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
First, the military servicemen conducted elements of underwater sabotage defence, air defence, and submarine defence on unsafe roadstead and in course of joint maneuvers.
In the nearest future, the crews are to hold training on search and rescue ships at sea.
The Russian ship group consists of major ASW ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov, the major landing ship Peresvet, the sea tug Alatau and the Pechenga tanker. The Commander of the group is Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.
The exercise will involve 2 submarines, up to 20 surface ships, about 250 marines as well as 12 armored personnel carriers and amphibious armored vehicles.
