Vyborg Shipyard took part in the International Trade Fair SMM’16
Vyborg Shipyard took part in the International Trade Fair SMM'16. The trade fair on shipbuilding, machinery and offshore technologies was held in Hamburg, the company said in its press release.
Vyborg Shipyard demonstrated the model of icebreaking support vessel project ARC130A within the exposition of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) stand. The vessels of this project are under construction at the shipyard from the end of 2015. Besides, within the exposition there was also demonstrated the model of a trawler project ST-192.
During the fair VSY specialists held negotiations with representatives of the leading companies and discussed further development of cooperation with long-term and potential partners. The delegation was headed by General Director of Vyborg Shipyard Alexander Solovyev: "Vyborg Shipyard as one of the leading companies in the Russian civil shipbuilding is a regular participant at SMM. At the present the third vessel in a series of icebreakers project 21900 M and icebreaking support vessels are being built at Vyborg Shipyard, in the near future the keels for new vessels will be laid. The SMM'16 fair is a unique opportunity not only for establishing cooperation with new customers and suppliers, but also for discussing the current issues with our long-term partners".
The stand of the United Shipbuilding Corporation was visited by Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Sergey Movchan. Together with management of the shipbuilding companies including General Director of Vyborg Shipyard he discussed the questions on production workload of the shipyards with new shipbuilding orders. The delegation of the United Shipbuilding Corporation included specialists of eleven shipyards and design bureaus specializing in civil shipbuilding and being members of the corporation.
