Port of Nakhodka sees 12.8-percent volume growth in seven month to 13,59 million tonnes
Freight throughput at Primorsky Krai, Russia based Port of Nakhodka in January - July 2016 rose 12.8% from a year earlier to 13,592,000 tonnes, the Authority of Primorsky Krai & Eastern Arctic Seaports said.
Shipments of dry bulk cargo increased by 24.1% to 9,708,000 tonnes. Petroleum products volume shank by 8.3% to 3,8 million tonnes.
The Port of Nakhodka is located on the Eastern section of Peter the Great Gulf, in Nakhodka Bay and is connected to all destination points of the Eurasian continent and the Trans-Siberian Railway, assisting trade flows between Asia and Europe. Nakhodka port is able to unload 500 railcars a day. In addition, 300,000 m2 of warehousing premises are located at the port.
