Interdepartmental commission focuses on implementation in Russian MLC 2006
State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Sergey Aristov on August 10, 2016 chaired a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on preparation for the implementation in the Russian Federation Maritime Labour Convention 2006, the Ministry said in a press release.
The meeting was attended by the departments of Transport Ministry, representatives of Rosmorrechflot, of the Ministry of Labour, of the Ministry of Health, of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of Rospotrebnadzor, of National Chamber of Shipping, of the transport education institutions and the industry trade unions.
The meeting have discussed implementation of protocol instructions of the meeting, held in April this year, namely on the normative regulation of the norms of the Convention on the crews of research vessels.
The meeting participants also suggested that Rospotrebnadzor add some changes to sanitary rules and norms (SanPiN) concerning the crew minimum diet. Besides, the commission also offered to expedite the publication of the Russian Ministry of Health laws and regulations in order to implement the provisions of the MLC.
