Allocations of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg for its social programme totaled RUB 19 mln in HI’2016
In the 1st half of 2016 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb, part of UCL Holding) transferred 19 mln Rubles for the implementation of social programme which is the same sum as in the last year, says the company.
Over 60% were transferred for support of the employees and their families. The company reimbursed the expenses for medical services, treatment, visits to sport establishments and summer holidays of children. Financial assistance was provided to families with many children and single parents.
On the eve of holidays and jubilees SP SPb paid bonuses to veterans, employees who have jubilees and active representatives of veteran’s organization. Employees who were granted rank “Port Veteran” received additional payments upon retirement.
SP SPb arranged excursion for children of port workers. In spring children visited Leningrad Zoo.
Besides for charitable purpose the company provided financial assistance to Saint-Petersburg orphanage Nr. 10. These funds were used for renovation of premises used for domestic studies of children.
Within the reporting period SP SPb transferred also funds for training of personnel. Within 6 months of 2016 the company trained 320 port workers which exceeds by 53% the figures of the previous year. Besides there were practical studies on the berths of the company for students of Marine Technical College, Saint-Petersburg Sea Fishing College and State University of Sea and River fleet named after admiral S.O. Makarov.
OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (included in UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) – is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. It operates by modern multipurpose specialized terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes and specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes. In 2015 the turnover of the company amounted to 7.9 mln tons.
