Throughput of Illichivsk seaport (Ukraine) down 12.8% to 7.74 mln t in HI’2016
In January-June 2016, Ukrainian seaport of Illichivsk (excluding Fishing Port of Illichivsk LLC) handled 7,748,000 t of cargo (-12.8%, year-on-year), says Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
In the reported period, the port handled 124,000 t of coal (+58.7%, year-on-year), 3,140,000 t of grain (+30.8%) and 564,000 t of loaded trucks (+31.5%).
In the 6-month period, the port handled 536 vessels and 73,846 rail wagons.
In June throughput of the port (excluding Fishing Port of Illichivsk LLC) handled 1,026,000 t of cargo.
State port operator SE Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk handled 536,000 t of cargo (52% of the port’s total throughput). Private port operators handled 490,000 t (48% of the total throughput) including 364,000 t of cargo handled at the terminals of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (35% of total volume).
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 778,000 t (+2.5%, year-on-year), import cargo -197,000 t (+1.4%), transit cargo – 27,000 t (-80.8%).
In June, the port handled 733,000 t of dry bulk cargo (-8.6%), 124,000 t of liquid bulk cargo (-31.1%), 169,000 t of general cargo (-29.1%).
The best results in June were achieved in transshipment of grain – 334,000 t (+30.8%) and loaded vehicles – 86,000 t (+21.4%).
In June the port handled 83 vessels and 10,280 rail wagons.
Seaport of Illichivsk is a multipurpose international port, one of the largest ports in the Black Sea. The port can accommodate vessels of up to 275 meters (or up to 300 upon the permit of the Harbour Master). The access channel is 1.4 km long, 160 m wide and 16 m deep.
