BF Tanker has signed the acceptance/delivery certificate for the Balt Flot 11, tanker of Project RST27 built by Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (United Shipbuilding Corporation), says the shipyard’s press center.
On the nearest time the ship will leave for Big Port St. Petersburg, her port of registration.
Balt Flot 11 is the eighteenth tanker of Project RST27 built at Krasnoye Sormovo. The contracts for construction of this vessel and the nineteenth tanker of Project RST27 were signed by Krasnoye Sormovo and BF Tanker in September 2014 with the assistance of MNP Group (Manager of shipbuilding projects).
RST27 project vessels of Volga-Don Max class meet the dimensions of the Volga-Don Ship Canal and Volga-Baltic Waterway. LOA - 140.85 m, beam - 16.7 m, depth - 6 m, sea / river DWT – 6,980 /5,378 tonnes with draft of 4.2 / 3.6 m.
The tanker is designed for mixed sea/river transportation of crude oil and oil products (two types of cargo), including gasoline, with no flash point.
The RST27 project was developed to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP). Detailed design was developed by Volgo - Caspian Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod).
The vessel was launched on March 25, 2016.
Krasnoye Sormovo OJSC is one of Russia's oldest shipyards. It was founded in 1849. In 2011, it entered the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The shipyard is Russia’s leader in construction of civil river and sea-and-river going vessels. Some of Krasnoye Sormovo ships are in the list of Significant Ships of RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects).
United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC OJSC) is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. It was set up in 2007 with 100% federal ownership. The holding comprises 60 companies and organizations (major shipbuilding and shiprepairing companies as well as leading design bureaus). Currently, USC consolidates about 80% of the domestic shipbuilding complex. The Russian market is the main focus of the state corporation though it also exports its products to 20 countries worldwide.
