Icebreaking tugboat Pur left Murmansk for Sabetta
Icebreaking tugboat Pur (Rosatomflot) left her homeport, Murmansk, for port Sabetta on May 14, at 20:00, Moscow time, FSUE Atomflot told IAA PortNews. The flag hoisting ceremony was held earlier on the same day.
The vessel intended for providing a package of port services at port Sabetta was built by Craneship, LLC (Temryuk, Krasnodar Territory) within the framework of Portoflot project. The tugboat was launched on January 15, 2016.
The capacity of the Arc 4 tugboats is 3.84 MW, speed in open water - 13 knots. Maximum draught – 4.93 m, length – 30.87 m, width – 11.2 m, crew - 10.
On February 26, 2016 Craneship, LLC launched the Tambey, another tugboat intended for operation at port Sabetta. The Tambey is to arrive in Murmansk by the end of May, 2016. The tugs intended for Sabetta are to be put into operation on May 31, 2016.
Portoflot project implies the construction and operation of three ice-class tugs, one port icebreaker and one icebreaking tugboat. The vessels are under construction at Craneship LLC (Temryuk) and Vyborg Shipyard PJSC (Vyborg). The contract signed by Portoflot with Yamal LNG covers the period from 2014 till 2040.
