Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard launches RST27-series tanker Balt Flot 12
Nizhny Novgorod, Russia based Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (part of United Shipbuilding Corporation / USC) on May 11, 2016 held a launching of the Balt Flot 12 tanker of Project RST27, the shipbuilding project manager MNP Group said.
The Balt Flot 12 is the second serial tanker, built at the shipyard in 2016 for tanker fleet operator BP Tanker.
The first tanker of the series Balt Flot 11 was launched on March 25, 2016, and in April successfully passed sea trials. The vessel will be delivered to the customer soon.
Mixed river-sea class RST27 tankers are self-propelled Volga-Don Max vessels. LOA: 140.85 m, beam - 16.7 m, depth - 6.0 m, DWT fresh water, at 3.6m draft: 5,378 tonnes, DWT salt water (4,2m draft) – 6,980 tonnes. Designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products, including gasoline, for simultaneous transportation of two types of liquid cargo. The tankers are built to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping: KM (*) Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS VCS ECO-S OMBO Oil tanker (ESP).
The RST27 tanker design was developed by Marine Engineering Bureau with Volga-Caspian Design Bureau providing detail engineering.

All vessels are built at Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard to comply with MARPOL conventions requirements, featuring the state-of-the-art equipment.
