Black Sea Fleet holds tactic exercise of landing ships and missile boats
Tactic exercise with formations of landing ships and missile boats, which are origin to the Crimean naval base, is held at several combat training ranges of the Black Sea Fleet, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Yamal and Azov major landing ships, Zelyony Dol and Mirage small missile ships, Samum missile hovercraft, R-109, R-239, Ivanovets and Shuya missile boats, and Ivan Golubets mine-sweeper are performing assigned tasks in sea.
The ships will practice joint maneuvering, perform communication trainings, organize defence from means of aerial attack.
Su-30SM and Be-12 aircraft are also involved in the exercise in order to provide support during several stages of the exercise.
The ship detachment will also perform artillery firing against coastal targets near Opuk naval landing range.
In total, up to 15 warships and support vessels are involved in the exercise.
