Summer navigation season to open at Marine Façade (Saint-Petersburg) with MSC Musica call scheduled for May 5
Summer navigation season of 2016 will be opened at Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» on May 5 with the call of MSC Musica and closed on October 11 with the call of AIDAmar. This was announced yesterday, April 20th, at the meeting dedicated to organization of passenger operations at Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg in summer navigation season of 2016.
According to the approved schedule, Marine Façade will see 218 calls of vessels with over 460,000 passengers. 12 vessels will call the port for the first time in its history.
Representatives of Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» shared their plans and amendments in the part of passenger operations and transport security with tour operators – partners of the company. The meeting was attended by representatives of 92 tour operators.
Besides, Marine Façade partners were informed about the readiness of the port infrastructure to accept vessels and passenger in the summer navigation season of 2016, events scheduled for the period and amendments related to the use of the port’s transport infrastructure.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
