Busan Port Authority engages in "Busan Port Marketing" in Shanghai
The Busan Port Authority, governing body of the Korean port of Busan, engaged in the port marketing targeting North China in order to attract transshipment cargo volume amid sluggish global economy q-and decrease in marine trade volume.
BPA stated on the 21st that the authority carried out Busan Port sales activities in Shanghai aiming for attracting the local logistics companies q-and shippers at the launching ceremony of China Cosco Shipping Corporation (CCSC), a merger of China Cosco q-and China Shipping Container Lines, on the 18th.
On the 17th, BPA invited major shipping companies to the presentation q-where current status of Busan Port operation, new incentive schemes, q-and construction plans of New Port empty container·hazardous cargo CY were introduced. At the meeting, BPA encouraged shipping companies to increase transshipment cargo volume at Busan Port.
BPA met president Yan Jun at Shanghai International Port Group(SIPG), governing body of Shanghai Port, q-and discussed mutual development between the two ports.
