The M/V He Hua Hai (DWT – 115,000 tonnes) today arrived at the terminal of Murmansk Commercial Seaport PAO (MMTP) for loading coal, the port operator said in a press release.
The dry bulk carrier will transport 108,000 tonnes of coal from Murmansk to one of the Mediterranean based ports.
The He Hua Hai was built in 2012 on a Shanghai shipyard. LOA - 254 m, breadth - 43 m. The Capesize bulkers are not able to pass through the Panama Canal. These dimensions vessels use routes through the Suez Canal, or round the southern tip of Africa and South America.
The bulk carrier is loaded at the MMTP's deepest Berths No 14. The coal will be loaded within 5 to 6 days.
Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC was established in 1994. The port has 17 berths, quay wall length is nearly 3,000 meters. The length and depths enable the port to accommodate and handle 265m-long, 15.5m-draft cargo ships.
