Major ASW ship Vice Admiral Kulakov celebrated its anniversary in the Mediterranean Sea
Major ASW ship Vice Admiral Kulakov, which is performing tasks in the Mediterranean Sea, has celebrated its anniversary, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
In the recent years the ship is one of the most highly-demanded one at the Northern Fleet. Its potential allows it to perform all the assigned tasks of long-range cruises. At present, the ship is within the operational formation of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea.
Along with the festive ceremony, the crew conducted an exercise on ship damage control. Its scenario prescribed the hull breach near the waterline. The crew practiced sealing the hole and water pumping.
Moreover, there was another exercise on usage of the combat information centre. The military personnel detected and identified underwater targets and conventionally engaged them using the ship’s armament.
