Throughput of port Azov down 0.8%, y-o-y, to 6.66 mln t in 2015
In January-December 2015, seaport of Azov handled 6,663,000 t of cargo (-0.8%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 2.9% to 5,343,000 t, coal – by 30.7% to 701,000 t, while transshipment of oil products fell 2 times to 2,986,000 t.
In 2015 exports fell by 41.3% to 3,627,000 t, imports – by 48.3% to 2,810,000 t, transit – by 48.2% to 3,798,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 2,755,000 t while no coastal trade cargo was handled in 2014.
The number of incoming/outgoing ships fell to 4,109/4,114 against 4,962 /4,947 I 2014.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
