Arkhangelsk regional ports received 23 calls of cruise ships in 2015
This summer shipping season the ports of Arkhangelsk region, Russia saw a record number of arrivals of cruise ships – 23 calls, which is more than a year before (2014 – 14), the regional Ministry of Tourism said.
The number of cruise tourists from abroad doubled to 4,500 people, largely from Norway, Finland and Sweden, Germany, France, UK and the USA.
In 2012, 338,100 tourists visited the Arkhangelsk region, 379,500 people in 2013 (+12%) and in 2014 – 390,800 people (+ 3%).
In January-September 2015 the number of tourists in the Arkhangelsk region amounted to 257,200 people, or 11.3% y-o-y.
