Volga State University of Water Transport and two ship repair centers join hands to establish a resource center (photo)
Volga State University of Water Transport (Nizhny Novgorod) signed an agreement with Borremflot and Pamyat Parizhskoi Kommuny ship repair yards on establishment of a Resource Center for Shipbuilding, Ship Repair and Modernization. According to the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot), the agreement was signed on December 4, 2015, during Transport Week – 2015 within the framework of the exhibitions of Rosmorrechflot’s educational institutions.
The ceremony was attended by deputy head of Rosmorrechflot Aleksandr Poshivai, University Rector Igor Kzmichev, Borremflot and ship repair yard Director General Vladislav Valov, rectors of subordinate institutions of representatives of Rosmorrechflot.
The Resource Center is to be established in compliance with Rosmorrechflot’s Educational Council. This form of cooperation with industry focused enterprises will raise training of specialists for shipbuilding and shiprepair sector to a higher level, Rosmorrechflot says.
