Russian fishing companies increase catch of aquatic bioresources by 5.2% to 3.8 mln t
From the year beginning till November 17, 2015, Russian fishing companies caught 3,808,200 t of aquatic bioresources (+189,300 t, or 5.2%, year-on-year), Russia’s Fisheries Agency says.
The catch in the Far East Basin totaled 2,492,200 t (+67,600 t); in the Northern Basin - 499,300 t (-21,600 t); in the Baltic Sea - 51,500 t (+12,000 t); in the Azov-Black Sea Basin - 71,500 t (+33,100 t); in the Caspian Basin- 30,400 t (- 100 t).
Within the zones of foreign states Russian fishing companies caught 413,200 t of aquatic bioresources (+51,800 t); within the convention areas and open part of the oceans - 250,200 t (+46,500 t).
