Throughput of Russian seaports up 3% to 495.8 mln t in 9M’15
In January-September 2015, Russian seaports handled 3% 495.8 mln t of cargo (+3%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 223.5 mln t (+1.5%) including 90.9 mln t of coal (+3.9%), 21.5 mln t of grain (+2.3%), 19.9 mln t of ferrous metal (+13.2%), 12.3 mln t of cargoes carried by ferries (up 1.7 tims), 11.7 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+6.7%), 5.0 mln t of ore (+5.3%), 4.0 mln t of timber (+9.9%) and 2.7 mln t of non-ferrous metal (+14.2%). Transshipment of containerized cargo fell to 30.0 mln t (-14.9%), scrap metal – to 3.3 mln t (-10.3%), refrigerated cargo – to 2.3 mln t (-15.6%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 272.3 mln t (+4.3%) including 150.2 mln t of crude (+5.4%), 110.2 mln t of oil products (+3.3%) and 9.4 mln t of liquefied gas (+3.2%).
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 396.8 mln t (+5.2%), import – 25.1 mln t (-23.5%), transit - 35.9 mln t (-1.3%), coastal trade cargo - 38.0 mln t (+8.5%).
Operators of the Arctic Basin terminals handled 26.4 mln t (-0.8%, year-on-year) including 18.3 mln t of dry cargo (-5.4%) and 8.1 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+11.5%). The port of Murmansk handled 16.2 mln t (-3.7%), Varandei - 4.9 mln t (+12.9%), Arkhangelsk - 3.0 mln t (+0.3%).
The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 171.4 mln t (+1.4%) including 65.3 mln t of dry cargo (-2.3%), 106.1 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+3.7%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 64.9 mln t (+15.6%), Primorsk - 43.8 mln t (+5.2%), Big Port St. Petersburg - 38.9 mln t (-16.0%), Vysotsk - 13.2 mln t (-2.8%), Kaliningrad - 9.6 mln t (-6.9%).
Throughput of Azov - Black Sea ports climbed to 165.8 mln t (+5.1%) including 64.5 mln t of dry cargo (+10.1%), 101.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+2.2%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 94.7 mln t (+3.2%), Tuapse - 19.0 mln t (+15.9%), Taman - 8.7 mln t (+14.9%), Rostov - 8.0 mln t (+2.5%), Taganrog - 2.2 mln t (+7.9%), Temryuk - 1.9 mln t (+25.1%), Kavkaz - 16.6 mln t (-15.3%), Azov - 5.0 mln t (-1.4%), Yeisk - 2.7 mln t (-5.5%). Seaports of Crimea handed 6.7 mln t of cargo including 5.4 mln t transshipped via Kerch.
The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 5.1 mln t грузов (-13.3%) including 2.3 mln t of dry cargo (-6.9%) and 2.8 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-18.1%). Port Makhachkala handled 3.0 mln t (-20.5%), Astrakhan - 1.9 mln t (+1.0%). Throughput of port Olya fel by 15.1%.
The ports of Far East Basin handled 127.1 mln t (+4.2%) including 73.1 mln t of dry cargo (+0.1%), 54.0 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+10.2%). Port Vostochny handled 48.8 mln t (+12.9%), Vanino - 20.0 mln t (+3.9%), De-Castri - 7.6 mln t (+28.9%), Nakhodka - 15.8 mln t (-0.5%), Prigorodnoye - 11.8 mln t (-1.9%), Vladivostok - 9.5 mln t (-19.2%), Posiet - 4.7 mln t (-9.3%).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport. ASOP comprises commercial seaports, forwarding and agency companies, scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions. Operational results of Russian port sector are based on statistics reports and cover all stevedoring companies operating in the Russian Federation.
