Vladimir Putin set to turn NSR into competitive transport corridor of global significance
Russian President Vladimir Putin calls on the Government to continue the efforts to turn the Northern Sea Route into a competitive transport corridor of global significance.
According to the transcript of the President’s speech at the First Eastern Economic Forum, the Northern Sea Route could be used for container traffic that dominates in the world cargo turnover.
“I would like the Government to continue these efforts”, the President said.
Different experts in Russia have recently made their proposals on container line in the Arctic.
