Expert says multiplicative effect from investments into debottlenecking of Russia’s deepwater system could make RUB 1.3 trillion
Insufficient financing of inland water ways of the Russian Federation lasting for many years has resulted in considerable deterioration of IWW, IAA PortNews journalist cites Tatiana Pantina, Prorector of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, as saying at the Conference dedicated to up-to-date methods to run inland water ways of the Russian Federation being held in Saint-Petersburg on September 2-4.
According to the draft Strategy for the development of Russia’s inland water ways through 2030, RUB 88.4 bln of budget investments is required for debottlenecking purposes.
Tatiana Pantina says multiplicative effect from investments into debottlenecking of the unified deepwater system of Russia is to make RUB 1.3 trillion.
