Makarov Training Centre joins IMCA (document)
Makarov Training Centre of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping joins the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), the Center says.
The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) is the international trade association representing companies and organisations engaged in delivering offshore, marine and underwater solutions. Its core purpose is improving performance in the marine contracting industry by championing better regulation and enhancing operational integrity.
Makarov Training Centre of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping suggests professional educational courses for students and cadets of the University, crews of seacrafts, wide range of maritime and oil&gas industry specialists of Russia, CIS and foreign countries.
As of today, Makarov Training Center numbers over 40 types of simulators at its two branches in Saint-Petersburg as well as in Murmansk and Arkhangelsk.
Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping was set up through reorganization of two large industry-focused higher educational institutions - St.-Petersburg State University of Waterway Communications (SPSUWC) and Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (SMA) in the form of affiliation of the Academy to the University.
