OOCL updates Rate Applicability Rule for Australia/New Zealand trade
With effect from August 1, 2015, the Rate Applicability Rule for cargo movements in the Australia / New Zealand Trade, except for Australia and New Zealand to/from United States/Canada, will be changed to actual departure date of the vessel named in the bill of lading, OOCL said in its press release. The new rule will be applied to all cargo shipped under a bill of lading of which the actual departure date is showing August 1, 2015, or later.
For Australia and New Zealand to/from United States/Canada, the rate applicability rule remains unchanged, using the date when a shipment is received by the carrier or its agent.
