Passenger port of Saint Petersburg has six cruise ships docked at its berths
On June 9, 2015, Passenger port of Saint Petersburg had six cruise ships berthed at the same time - Celebrity Silhouette (Royal Caribbean & Celebrity Cruises), Empress (Pullmantur Cruises), Norwegian Star (Norwegian Cruise Line), Queen Elizabeth (Carnival Corporation & plc), Marina (Prestige Cruise Holdings Inc.) and MCS Sinfonia (MSC Cruises), the port’s press center says.
Empress has made her first call to Passenger port of Saint Petersburg in the 2015 cruise season. Since 2009 the six ships have visited Passenger port of Saint Petersburg over a hundred times. Three vessels - Celebrity Silhouette, Queen Elizabeth and MSC Sinfonia – will continue their Baltic Sea cruises already this evening. Empress and Norwegian Star will stay in St. Petersburg for two days and then leave on Friday, July 20. Marina will spend three days at Passenger port of Saint Petersburg and will continue her cruise on July 11. In total over 12 500 passenger have arrived to the city aboard the ships.
On the 18th of July Passenger port of Saint Petersburg will again receive 7 cruise ships at once, reaching full berth occupancy.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
