Construction of shipyard in Bolshoi Kamen (Primorye) is well under way
RUB 20 bln have already been spent for the construction of Zvezda shipyard, Vladimir Usoltsev, First Deputy Governor of the Primorsky Territory, said yesterday, June 25, at the meeting dedicated to the construction of the shipbuilding complex and its social infrastructure.
According to the representatives of the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center, the project is to be implemented in three phases. In total, it is valued at RUB 78 bln. The shipyard will become commence operation in 2016 and be fully operational by the end of 2019.
Shipbuilding comlex Zvezda is being created in Bolshoi Kamen within the framework of the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (United Shipbuilding Corporation). The complex is supposed to build vessels for the development of hydrocarbon fields on the Arctic shelf.
