Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky welcomes two cruise ships (photo)
Two cruise ships, Pacific Venus and Professor Khromov called at port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on June 24, 2015, press center of the regional Government says.
Pacific Venus which arrived from Japan carries 303 passengers and 197 crewmembers. Japanese tourists will spend two days see the sights of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. On June 26, 2015, the ship will leave the Avachinskaya Bay for Japan.
Russian ship Professor Khromov is waiting for tourists who come to Kamchatka by air. The ship with carry 40 tourists from the USA, New Zealand, Israel and other countries along the Kamchatka coast and the Komandorskiye Islands (Commander Islands) to Chukotka. The ship is to leave this evening.
The next call of a cruise ship is scheduled for June 28, 2015. Silver Discoverer (length – 102.9 m, width – 15.4 m, displacement - 5,218 t) can accommodate 120 passengers and almost 100 crewmembers. The ship flying the flag of the Bahama Islands will come to Kamchatka from Japan.
