SINOPACIFIC Joins Nor-Shipping again after 2 years
Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group (SINOPACIFIC) returned to Nor-Shipping this year (June 2nd to 5th, 2015, Oslo, Norway), to join the biennial grand gathering and, with other colleagues from the industry, discuss the tough challenges ahead due to the current economic downturn, the company said in its press release.
As the only Chinese shipbuilder exhibiting in this show, and one with a rather impressive track record, SINOPACIFIC attracted a lot of attention. In May, just prior to the show, SINOPACIFIC reached an important milestone when its track record hit 400 vessels. The number of OSVs delivered from its yards has now exceeded 190 vessels and these vessels are currently sailing safely around the world, including in the North Sea, which is well known for its severe conditions. Reaching such a scale of deliveries within an 11 year period clearly demonstrates SINOPACIFIC’s adherence to and perseverance with the highest product standards and levels of customer satisfaction.
Over the past two years, SINOPACIFIC has been continuously developing trust from its customers and committing to advanced and diversified OSV projects. With constant deliveries of series of OSVs, SINOPACIFIC has been able to fully demonstrate its increasingly improved abilities in project management, construction quality/cycle control and contract execution. At the beginning of May, 2015, the first SPA150 vessel, a medium-size AHTS designed by SINOPACIFIC, was delivered to FEMCO Group, a Russian Ship-owner, and the delivery of the 2nd vessel of this series is due in June, just after Nor-Shipping 2015. The remaining two vessels of this series are currently under construction. It is also worth mentioning that during the period from Oct. 2013 to Oct. 2014, 8 PX105 U10589 vessels, one of the most sophisticated PSV designs in the market, were delivered with excellent indexes to Norwegian Ship-owner, Deep Sea Supply. Meanwhile, the projects of construction of a series of AHTS SPA80s and PSV SPP17s for Bourbon have been successfully closed while for the PSV SPP35 project, 11 vessels have been delivered to Bourbon in the period up to the end of May this year.
In addition to the constant and steady deliveries of Offshore Support Vessels, the developments in the field of Specialized Offshore Vessels are also important. SINOPACIFIC commenced the construction of the E169 rock installation vessel, the first of its kind in the world, at its Zhejiang Shipyard in April 2015. This vessel is designed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions B.V. (USOS).
“We look forward to meeting every delegation from our customers and we will always offer the most professional and flexible solutions in shipbuilding, which we will transform into high quality products.” commented Mr. Simon Liang, Chairman and CEO of SINOPACIFIC. “We’re proud we have our own design company, and we benefit a lot from the very close coordination between our design team and our shipbuilding bases which creates a seamless flow between design and manufacturing.”
