Throughput of port Yeisk up 0.2% to 1,207 mln t in Jan-May’15
In January-May, 2015, the port of Yeisk handled 1,207 mln t of cargo (+0.2%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Yeisk Sergei Grechkin told IAA PortNews.
Grain transshipment surged by 41.8% to 454,800 t, coal – by 7.4% to 288,700 t.
Exports gained 6.6% to 1,045,100 t, imports decreased by a half to 53,100, transit – 29.8% to 56,100 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo surged 3 times to 52,200 t.
Bunker sales at the port totaled 9,100 t (260 operations) against 7,300 t of fuel (235 operations) in January-May 2014.
In the reported period, the port authorities registered 331 incoming and 344 outgoing vessels against 323 incoming and 334 outgoing vessels a year ago.
Sergei Grechkin attributes the growth to a favorable ice situation in QI'15 against QI'14.
