UASC starts a new container service between Northern Europe and the east coast of the United States
Shipping line UASC is to start a new container service between Northern Europe and the east coast of the United States. The company also extends its reefer capacity, Port of Rotterdam said in its press release.
The weekly service ( NEU1) calls in Rotterdam and four other ports in Northern Europe before crossing the Atlantic to New York, Norfolk, Charleston and Savannah.
UASC ordered 3500 new reefer containers. Both developments are a consequence of the co-operation with CMA CGM and Hamburg Süd, which pulls USAC to the Trans-Atlantic trade routes as well.
