hibis-class coast guard patrol boats of project 21850 (hulls No 02121, 02122, 02123) built by Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) undergo manufacture’s sea trials within the water area of Volga river near Rybinsk, the shipyard’s press center says.
The acceptance/delivery commission of RF FSB Border Service will come to the shipyard on June 3, 2015 with the crews expected earlier. The boats will then be delivered by railway to Crimea, their basing site.
In 2015, Vympel Shipyard is to deliver 12 Chibis-class boats, the last one is to leave for it place of deployment in October.
Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region based Vympel Shipyard is a fast-growing company specializing in building of medium-, small-tonnage sea-going and river vessels and boats both for military and civil sectors. Since its inception in 1930, VYMPEL Shipyard had built more than 30,000 ships of various types.
