BW LPG announces delivery of VLGC Berge Summit
BW LPG Limited has taken delivery of the Very Large Gas Carrier (“VLGC”) Berge Summit, the company said in its press release.
Berge Summit has been bareboat chartered-in by BW LPG since 2004. BW LPG recently announced the exercise of a purchase option of USD 8 million, which became available under the charter, as a result of which BW LPG takes ownership effective 11 May 2015. Built in 1990 with a capacity of approximately 78,489 cubic metres, the vessel will remain flagged under the Bahamas flag. The vessel will continue to be a part of the fleet available to service existing and new charter commitments.
