Nenets Autonomous Region to obtain ownership of Naryan-Mar Commercial Seaport and to invest RUB 500 mln into its reconstruction
Heads of Nenets Autonomous Region and Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimushchestvo) have agreed and the transfer of Naryan-Mar Commercial Seaport OJSC to the region’s ownership, press center of NAR Government says.
As of today, 100% of the company is owned by Rosimushchestvo and included into the forecast plan for privatization of the federal property in 2014-2016.
“Seaport in Naryan-Mar is a strategic facility for the region. Its public sale is not appropriate for us. Therefore we plan to complete the process on the transfer of its ownership and we are set to invest RUB 500 mln into its reconstruction then,” said NAR Governor Igor Koshin.
Commercial seaport of Naryan-Mar is located in the town of Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous Region). Its major activities are handling and storing of cargo, operation of leased handling equipment, providing of port fleet services, etc. The port’s berth are 384.55 meters long, throughput capacity of cargo terminals – 500 t. Naryan-Mar Commercial Seaport OJSC is the only stevedoring company to operate at the port.
