Drydocks World to fabricate components for the Johan Sverdrup Riser Platform Jacket
Drydocks World the international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors has been awarded the contract from Kvaerner to carry out the fabrication of components on the Johan Sverdrup Riser Platform Jacket for end-user Statoil, to be located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, the company said in its press release.
Kvaerner won contract from Statoil in January and Drydocks World will carry out the fabrication of pile clusters and floatation tanks including surface protection for the Johan Sverdrup Riser platform jacket. The pile clusters will form the base of the jacket where the structure is piled to the seabed, and the tanks will be used for launching and installation of the jackets on site. Drydocks World will be fabricating to the stringent NORSOK safety and quality standards, with our strong project management and construction team carrying out the over 7,000 ton project.
Currently Drydocks World is also fabricating a 2,000 ton jacket and wellhead platform for the Technip Rashid C Platform.
