ABP invests £5m in Cardiff facility for Travis Perkins Builders’ Merchant
Construction is complete on a major new distribution terminal for Travis Perkins builders’ merchants (Travis Perkins), the leading supplier to the UK’s building and construction industry, at Associated British Ports’ Port of Cardiff, ABP says in its press release.
Representing a £5m investment from ABP, the seven acre site will supply over 100 Travis Perkins’ outlets across South Wales.
The 7,820 square metre (81,473 square feet) warehouse became operational in December 2014, employing over 100 staff.

“It is a great example of what ABP’s unique network of ports in South Wales can do; working with our customers to develop facilities that help their business to grow and drive increases in operational efficiency.”
Travis Perkins builders’ merchants has been supplying building materials to the trade for more than 200 years and has 600 outlets across the UK.
