Arkhangelsk port operator reports a 4.5% gain in cargo volumes to nearly 1,4 million tonnes
Cargo throughput at the terminals of port opertor Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port in January-November 2014 totaled 1,390,500 tonnes, or 4.5% more than a year ago, the company said.
In the reporting period imports volume slumped 2.6 times to 26,000 tonnes, exports decreased by 13.3% to 563,900 tonnes, while shipments of coastal cargo increased by 39.1% to 778,100 tonnes.
JSC Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a diversified stevedoring company of the Port of Arkhangelsk. The port operator specializes in handling general cargo, cellulose, cardboard, containers, timber, metal, fertilizers, heavy equipment and bulk cargo. In 2013 the company handled 1.425 million tonnes of cargo.
