Adjara government interested in new Black Sea cruise line of Paradise Cruise & Ferry
The Government of Adjara Autonomous Republic is interested in the development of a new itinerary Batumi-Sochi-Istanbul-Batumi of cruise operator Paradise Cruise & Ferry, the local official told journalists at a press conference.
Archil Habadze, Prime Minister of the Republic of Adjara, Georgia speaking at the press conference devoted to the launch of the cruise line said that Batumi residents are very pleased to sea a comeback of big cruise ships to the port of Batumi. This is a significant event for all citizens and businesses, the official said. He has high hopes for the permanent cruise line and the year-round service between Batumi, Sochi and Istanbul.
Igor Glukhov, VP Paradise Cruise & Ferry added that he is sure that at the turn of 2014-2015, regular cruise sailings on the Black Sea will revive.
The press conference was also attended by the Mayor of Batumi Giorgi Ermakov and Parliament Speaker Avtandil Beridze.
The first sailing of Paradise Cruise & Ferry's cruise ship is scheduled for December 24, 2014. The unique five-day visa-free cruise will offer sightseeing, visiting capitals of the Black Sea. Passengers can begin or end their journey at any point along the route. The cruise operator will deploy on the service the comfortable cruise ship M/V Isabella 1.
The current schedule of the passenger liner is approved for the period from 24 December 2014 through 18 January 2015. Paradise Cruise & Ferry invites passengers to celebrate Christmas and New Year 2015 on board Isabella1.
