Transneft eyes redirection of oil products from Ukraine to Ventspils
Transneft is considering a possibility of redirecting oil products from Ukraine to port Ventspils via Belarus, the company told IAA PortNews. This can be done if Russia’s oil transport company loses control over its oil product pipeline in Ukraine.
The court of the first instance earlier claimed part of oil product pipelines owned by Transneft subsidiary in favour of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. Then Rovno Court of Appeal reversed this judgment but Superior Economic Court of Ukraine forwarded the case for reconsideration to Rovno Court of Appeal, which found legal the decision on nationalization of Transneft subsidiary’s oil product pipeline. Transneft is going to challenge this decision.
