Integr8 Fuels hires several former OW Bunker group traders
Global bunker trading company Integr8 Fuels has hired a number of former traders from the defunct marine fuels group OW Bunker, the company said in its press release.
It has employed two new staff members for its Singapore office and a further two for its Dubai branch, all as Bunker Traders.
Singapore hires include Mona Liu and Nikita Miroshnik, whilst Dubai hires include Rasmus Holm Jensen and Mirko Antichi.
"For bunker trading companies left untouched by recent events, the collapse of OW has created a number of business opportunities," Tushar Gole, managing director of Integr8, told Bunkerworld.
"Integr8 is considering a number of these opportunities and has so far employed a number of key ex-OW group staff in Asia and the Middle East."
Gole, meanwhile, noted the firm gaining a new stand-alone trading location in northern Europe while being in discussion with other OW bunker teams in other locations - but has declined to reveal further details.
According to Gole, the collapse of OW bunker has taken the shipping industry by surprise but left Integr8 "unscathed".
Many companies are left considering their approach to the sums they owe to OW, and for this reason Integr8 and its in-house legal department is working to guide its customers and partners though the legal mechanics of the OW liquidation as a priority.
"Integr8 expects the next few months to be turbulent for the bunker industry, but it considers this period of flux an opportunity for those companies with a strong balance sheet and good liquidity to consolidate their position," he observes.
