Cargo transportation by Ukraine’s water transport up 5.2% to 4.9 mln t in Jan-Oct’14
In January-October 2014, water transport of Ukraine carried 4.9 mln t of cargo (+5.2%, year-on-year), says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
Cargo turnover increased by 18.7% to 4.42 bln tonne-km.
The decline was registered in air and pipeline transport sectors. However, motor transport increased the results by 3.7%, the results of railway transport declined by 8.8% to 3.26 mln t.
All types of transport carried 565.6 mln t (-7.2%, year-on-year).
