2 new CRTG cranes supplied to CTSP
2 Konecranes rubber-tyred gantry cranes were delivered to CTSP’s quays within production infrastructure development program, CTSP says in its press release.
The 40t cranes will be used at the new handling and storage facilities.
The new equipment is environmentally friendly and efficient due to electric motor drive and built-in energy recovery system. The cranes are equipped with GPS-based auto-steering system and auto-stop function, high-speed fiber-optic network and the cabins meeting all existing ergonomic requirements.
The purchase of the new equipment worth EUR 3,6 million was financed out of the own CTSP’s funds .
New cranes will be put into operation after being registered in the Federal Agency for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor).
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (member of UCL Port, the stevedoring division of the international transportation group UCL Holding) is a modern container and import automobile handling facility in the Fourth District of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. In 2013 the terminal handled 396,400 TEUs.
