Arkhangelsk Region to get RUB 69 mln for development of shipbuilding cluster
In 2014, Arkhangelsk Region will get RUB 69 mln from the federal budget for the development of the shipbuilding cluster as a winner of a competition on providing subsidies for activities under programmes aimed at the development of innovative regional pilot clusters. According to the press center of the regional authorities, the Region’s co-financing will total RUB 4.8 mln.
The majority of the federal money, over RUB 62 mln, is intended for the purchase of machinery and equipment for production of hi-tech propulsion complexes and their elements for ice class vessels. These products are to phase out imported products.
Besides, a conference is supposed to be held for the participant of the shipbuilding cluster. The participants will discuss their joint efforts on personnel and technological issues, as well as on advanced training of involved specialists.
