Kiev Shipyard plans to complete CSVs series for Ukraine's hydrographic service by 2017 (photo release)
Ukraine based Kiev Shipbuilding & Ship Repair Yard (KSSRZ) scheduled delivery to State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine a series of Project P101 Coastal Hydrographic Survey Vessels for 2017, the shipbuilding company said.
The first vessel of a series of four coastal survey vessels Captain Bashev was delivered to the customer in early October 2014. In the vessel construction the shipbuilder utilized some components of a decommissioned ship.
The second vessel's hull fabrication is nearing completion at the yard. Workers at the company's shop are assembling blocks of the hull of the third vessel.
Vessels of this project were designed for installation and maintenance of aids to navigation, to conduct survey in coastal waters, bays, straits and river estuaries. In addition, if properly retrofitted, the vessel of this project can operate as a dive support boat, a tugboat, OSV or Fast Crew Supply Vessel.
The single deck steel vessel has double-level deckhouse and engine room amidships. Navigation area is limited, operation is allowed at wave height of 2 m. Endurance - 16 hours, with the range of 75 nm from her home port, and 150 nm between ports. The vessel was built to the class of Shipping Register of Ukraine KM + Ice1 R3-RSN. Captain Basheve is homeported in Odessa.
Upon completion of outfitting, obtaining of SRU's classification documents the vessel entered service and is operating in the Dnieper-Bug estuary and northwestern part of the Black Sea.
