Throughput of EVRAZ NCSP up 24% to 4.4 mln t in HI’14
In January-July 2014, EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port handled 5 mln t of cargo (+27%, year-on-year), the company’s press center says.
Coal transshipment totaled 2.94 mln t, metal transshipment – 2.10 mln t.
In July, the company’s throughput surged by 45% to over 735,000 t including 444,000 to of coal (+49%) and 291,000 t of ferrous metal (+61%).
EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port is a major stevedore company operating at the largest Russia’s Far Eastern Port of Nakhodka, located in the eastern Gulf of Peter the Great, in Nakhodka Bay. The port is linked to the Eurasian continent through the Trans-Siberian Railway, serving the Asia-Europe-Asia trade flows. JSC EVRAZ NCSP operates on 15 cargo berths and one facility for handling the port’s workboats, of total length of 3.5 km, which can accommodate ships with length of 230m, breadth of 32m and draft of 11 m.
