Jack-up rig SEADON renovation nears completion at Zaliv Shipyard
Kerch, Crimea based Zaliv Shipyard chosen as the sole contractor for repair works on jack-up drilling rig SEADON owned by LLC AUTOBAN-TAMAN last week commenced the contract execution, the shipbuilder said in a press release.
The hull renovation work includes the thickness measurement and further replacement of steel plates, sandblasting and painting. Repair works will be performed at Zaliv yard's building ways and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2014.
JSC Zaliv Shipyard specializes in commercial shipbuilding, construction of ships for offshore oil & gas sector, and in marine engineering. The company has two production facilities, a slipway of docking capacity of 2,300 tonnes and a 360m-long, 60m-wide dry dock.
