Gondan Shipyard to build two patrol boats for Spanish Guardia Civil
Spain based Gondan Shipyard signed a contract with the Guardia Civil for the building of two aluminum and fiber (PRFV) patrol / interception boats, the shipbuilder said in a press release.
The vessels will be built at the facilities that Gondan Shipyard has in Vegadeo and are scheduled for delivery in summer 2015.
Boat key specifications: length overall - 20,5 m, breadth overall - 5,0 m.
The patrol boats with extended cruising range are designed and equipped for surveillance missions, search and interception of drug trafficking and irregular inmigration as well as protection of the marine environment, in the field of the tasks of the Guardia Civil.
