Since the first years of the 1990s, DIAP has been involved in West-Singapore’s industrial land extensions through awarded contracts under phases 1 and 2 amalgamation of the 7 existing smaller islands into a single Jurong Island and its further huge extensions under phases 3 and 4 (completion at the end of this month). These previous contracts were awarded in combination with the complementary large scale extension of the Singapore main island of the Tuas View peninsula. They have led to this JIWE contract for the creation of today’s Jurong Island as a part of Singapore national development.
