Commercial Seaport of Kerch (Ukraine) handled 2.54 mln t of cargo in Jan-Oct’13
In January-October, 2013, Commercial Seaport of Kerch (Ukraine) handled 2.54 mln t of cargo, says press center of Association of Ukrainian Ports 'Ukrport'.
In particular, state stevedores of IMU system (Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine) handled 1.65 mln t of cargo (65.3% of the total volume); private stevedores handled 883,500 t at all berths (34.7%)
The port is located on the shore of the Kerch Strait. It provides round-the-year handling of vessels up to 200 meters in length and 8 meters in draught.
State enterprise Commercial Seaport of Kerch (Crimea) specializes in cargo handling and fleet servicing. The port is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and handling facilities capable of working with general cargo, dry bulk cargo, containers, ro-ro cargoand bulk grain. The port’s annual capacity is 2.5 mln t.
