Throughput of Universal Reloading Complex (Leningrad region) up 14% to 1.6 mln t in HI’13
In January-June 2013, Universal Reloading Complex in port Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) handled 1.6 mln t (+14%, year-on-year), the company says.
The growth was driven by the increased handling of thermal coal (+56%, year-on-year, to 1.49 mln t), the statement says. Besides, this year the Complex handled some 7,000 tonnes of manganese ore (this type of cargo was not handled in the first quarter of 2012). However, transshipment of ferrous metal dropped by 77% to 105,000 tonnes.
Universal Reloading Complex LLC (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal at the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region. It specializes in acceptance, storage and shipment of exported and imported dry bulk cargo. In 2012, Universal Reloading Complex LLC handled 2.9 mln t of cargo.
