Railway shipment of coal towards Vostochny and Nakhodka ports below planned volumes
In the first half of the month (July 1-15), coal shipment from the stations of West-Siberian railway (Russian Railways) towards the seaports of Primorsk Territory (Vostochny and Nakhodka) made 34% against planned 48%. According to the data of AS ETRAN available to IAA PortNews, in the 15-day period the railway shipped 719,300 tonnes of coal against planned 2,144.6 tonnes.
Stroyservis shipped 0% of the planned volumes, KMK-Energo - 0%, Sibirenergougol - 16%, Kuzbassrazrezugol - 17%.
Representatives of the above companies interviewed by IAA PortNews attribute those negative dynamics to limited loadings at the stations of West-Siberian railway due to large-scale repairs of railway infrastructure.
Coal mining companies are concerned about implementation of export contracts, increased stock reserves of coal and possible decline of extraction volumes.
